About Bernie Parent

Bernie Parent is one of the most decorated goaltenders in NHL history and the backbone of the Philadelphia Flyers dynasty of the 1970s. He backstopped the Flyers to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975, winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP both years — a feat matched by very few players in league history. Parent also won the Vezina Trophy twice (1974 and 1975) and was named to the NHL First All-Star Team in both championship seasons. His number 1 was retired by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1979, and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984. Widely regarded as one of the most technically sound and mentally composed goaltenders to ever play the game, his signature is among the most prized in Philadelphia Flyers collecting and an essential piece for any serious hockey memorabilia collection.
