The four-time Stanley Cup champion spent his entire career with the New York Islanders, appearing in 900 games and recording 235 goals and 513 points. Best remembered for scoring the overtime goal that secured the Islanders’ first Stanley Cup in 1980, Nystrom had his No. 23 retired by the franchise in 1995.
