Ron Hextall was a fiercely competitive goaltender known for his aggressive style, exceptional puck-handling ability, and determined play throughout an accomplished NHL career. A Vezina Trophy and Conn Smythe Trophy winner, he became the first goaltender in NHL history to score a goal by shooting the puck into the opposing net and established himself as one of the most memorable netminders of his era.
