About Yvan Cournoyer
Yvan Cournoyer — nicknamed “The Roadrunner” for his blazing speed — is one of the most decorated players in Montreal Canadiens history. A ten-time Stanley Cup champion, Cournoyer won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 1973 and was one of the most electrifying forwards of his era. Over 16 seasons with the Canadiens, he scored 428 goals and 863 points, earning five NHL All-Star selections. Cournoyer also represented Canada in the legendary 1972 Summit Series, scoring the tying goal in Game 8 moments before Paul Henderson’s iconic series winner. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982 and his number 12 was retired by the Canadiens. His signature is a prized piece for any Montreal Canadiens or hockey history collector.
