Rod Gilbert Signing Event — February 2017
February 7, 2017 – Steve Fournier
About Rod Gilbert
Rod Gilbert is the greatest player in New York Rangers history. Over 18 seasons with the Blueshirts, Gilbert scored 406 goals and 1,021 points — franchise records that stood for decades. A two-time NHL All-Star Game MVP and recipient of the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 1976, Gilbert was one of the most skilled and beloved players of his era. He overcame serious back surgery early in his career to become the face of the Rangers franchise. His number 7 was retired by the Rangers in 1979, and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. For collectors, a Rod Gilbert signature is the definitive piece of New York Rangers memorabilia.
